QSA Global, Inc.’s natural and enriched Iridium-192 sources are made using uniformly sized iridium metal discs or pellets enclosed in a welded stainless steel capsule. The use of enriched Ir-192 allows for small focal sizes for optimal image quality.

SENTINEL Ir-192 radioisotope sources are available with an activity up to 240 Ci (8.88 TBq) and are double encapsulated and laser welded to ensure the highest quality and safety. Customized activities for specific needs are also available. The SENTINEL Ir-192 is designed for use with steel thicknesses between 10 and 90 mm (0.39 – 3.54 in), in accordance with ISO 5579:2013.
Transport of radioactive sources
QSA Global, Inc. distributes radioisotope sources worldwide using the industry's largest fleet of source changers. Source changers are available to transport from a single source up to ten sources in a Type A/B(U) container for device charging at your facility or at one of QSA Global, Inc.'s authorized service centers.
Loading and unloading options
To minimize downtime, QSA Global, Inc. and its authorized distributors offer several solutions for replacing SENTINEL Ir-192 sources. Charging operations can be carried out at local facilities around the world by specialized technicians or directly at your premises, by your qualified technicians.
Disposal of radioactive sources
Radioactive materials no longer in use must be transferred to an authorized recipient for final disposal. QSA Global, Inc. offers a one-for-one exchange service on SENTINEL Ir-192 radioisotope sources, ensuring safe and regulatory-compliant handling.
