Permanent magnet yoke

Permanent magnet yoke

The operation of the yoke, or “Yoke,” is based on the principle of the electromagnet: when a coil (or solenoid) of adequate power is passed through by a current, a magnetic field is generated. The coils present are wound on a laminated magnetic core, which forms the body of the yoke. The magnetic core is equipped with “contacts,” which can be oriented on the surface to be controlled by the presence of special joints. By energizing the coils of the yoke, a magnetic field flux is created on the area to be controlled, thus resulting in two polarities of opposite sign on the ends of the core.
